Except that Regina didn’t abuse him. And she most certainly didn’t neglect him. If anything, she did the complete opposite. And are you seriously trying to fault her for using magic to protect herself and put Daniel out of his misery because it half-broke a promise to a ten-year-old who didn’t even understand what he was demanding? Seriously?
As for your question, no. It wouldn’t be okay. Because Cora fucking tortured her. And, you know, murdered her boyfriend. And (provided she was still without her heart) would’ve had no legitimate desire to change or help anyone but herself. None of those things can be said of Regina. None. She does not deserve the way she’s been treated, and trying to compare her to Cora to prove that she does is just fucking low.
